REMADE is an imprint dedicated to the convergence of club dynamism and sound design intricacy. The concept stems from a desire to push more experimental sounds and structures in club environments, without losing the rhythmic edge that gives these spaces life.

The first release, Body Mirage, is SHALT’s introduction to this zone. Built on three tracks formed of pulsing bass, off-kilter drums and warping melodies, it is weighted between the kinetic dancefloor and slick digital synthesis.

“Goss” opens up with bright bells and swirling drums, punctuated by waves of sub pressure which rip through the fabric of the track. “Lung Squeeze” evokes similarities to the hard drum sound, born from a granulated lead and overdriven hand percussion. It is driven by a convulsing bassline which laps seductively at the stereo field.

“Mercury Pool” dives furthest down the rabbithole, constructing its own multi-dimensional environment out of viscous synths, glitching vocal effects and cascading bass plunges. Each sound on Body Mirage takes on the role of a discrete object, colliding in non-euclidean space for maximum rhythmic effect.
